The Tides….and Beyond!

This project was engineered to ensure the base floor elevation was out of the “flood zone” and designed with livable space 19 ft above sea level. We have taken this and multiple factors into careful consideration after super storm sandy depleted much of the area in 2012.

The Tides are at the forefront of West Haven’s Beach Street revitalization. With immense state funding to update infrastructure with new roads, crosswalks, bike lanes, and all new sidewalks, this will be the anchor for multiple new developments. We at CDM Holdings LLC in phase two will be developing (The famous Chicks restaurant) at 183 Beach Street along with the interests of many local and national developers.

To list a few:

The Havens– Located at Water Street and 1st Avenue, a large waterfront parcel fenced in. This property is 25 acres, and is currently up for sale with rumors of many national developers interested in mixed use with a healthy balance of commercial and residential, featuring retail stores along with high end restaurants.

Town Skate Park- Located on Beach Street neighboring the Tides, this is set for demolition. The City has just put out a bid for the demolition of this site, and will be replaced with more parking and lush green space for enjoyment for years to come.

The Debonair Hotel- Located at 295 Beach Street, this property was recently purchased, the new owners were also just quoted in the New Haven Register that they will be presenting plans in the near future for the redevelopment of the hotel. Sim Levenhartz, owner of the former Debonair Motel, said he intends to move forward with a hotel that takes advantage of the views of the water:

“I hope in a few months to be able to go to the city with plans,” he said. “We are very confident with the view we have.”
